The event is scheduled for December 12.

We are pleased to announce the 24th annual Kama`aina Christmas—one of Honolulu's premiere holiday galas, which helps the Academy's general operating fund. This year the theme is From Mauka to Makai, and the event will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009, 6 to 11 p.m., in the museum's galleries and courtyards.

Chaired by Linda Ahlers and Melissa Ching Benjamin, the event is a festive way to ensure that the Academy continues to be a place for inspiration and introspection for everyone.

This year’s Kama’aina Christmas will feature:

    * Cartier lucky drawing
    * Special silent auction
    * Dinner in the museum's galleries
    * Dancing in Central Courtyard with the Honolulu Jazz Quartet and Ginai, pictured.
